Mount Tenchenkhang in Sikkim is officially approved for trekking and climbing. It offers access to beautiful lakes, snow-capped mountains, and stunning scenery. Mt. Tenchenkhang, which stands at 6,010 meters, is well-known for its challenging climb. The mountain provides spectacular views of the Himalayas and Mount Makalu of Nepal, making it a top choice for mountaineering in Sikkim.
This mountain peak is located in western Sikkim and is part of the Kanchenjunga National Park, which offers breathtaking natural beauty, biodiversity, sacred lakes, and snow-capped mountains. This peak is visible from the Okhlathang Valley while trekking to Goecha La pass. The Sikkim Government declared this peak as a trekking peak in 1990. Since then, it has attracted the attention of many mountaineers but has been appreciated more than climbed.
