Impressive mountain close to Rathong Glacier

At 6010 meters, Mt. Tenchenkhang has been praised by climbers for its thrilling ascent and offers magnificent views of the Himalayas and Mount Makalu in Nepal. This spot is considered one of the best for mountaineering in Sikkim.
Frey Peak, an impressive mountain close to Rathong Glacier and near the Kabru sister peaks, including Kokthang and Rathong Peak, offers a challenging trek through Frey Glacier. The route is predominantly rocky, with occasional snow-covered sections. The peak is named after the renowned climber George Frey, who made an attempt to climb it with Tenzing Norgey. As a tribute, the base of the peak still holds his axe and crampons. Trekkers can experience the stunning natural beauty of the area along the trail.
